Summer Connecticut River Paddle Expedition
5-Day Canoe and Camping Trip, Ages 11-15
Spend a day developing your skill base learning the ins and outs of paddling, and then get out on the Connecticut for a four day journey and discover first-hand the rich story of this powerful river and how it shaped the valley. At the end of each day, set up camp, swim, swing off rope swings, make s’mores and tell stories around the campfire!
Dates: August 6th-10th, 2012
Cost: $375
Logistics: On Day 1, participants will be dropped off at 8:30 am at the Amherst common and picked up at 4:30 pm at the same location. Day 2, participants will likewise be dropped off at the Amherst common at 8:30 am. Pick up will then be on Day 5 at 5:30 pm at the Elwell Recreation area in Northampton.
