Summer Mixed Adventure Week 1

A Week of Outdoor Adventure for Youth, Ages 10-14

Visit a different location in the Pioneer Valley each day as you paddle rivers, scale rock walls and explore the secret world inside caves.  Learn how to canoe, kayak, rock-climb and cave.  The culminating experience will be a hike up Mt. Monadnock, the most hiked mountain in the world!

Dates:  July 9th – 13th

Time:  8:30 am to 4:00 pm

Cost:  $325 per session

Logistics: Participants will be dropped off at 8:30 am and picked up at 4:00 pm at the Amherst common. The exception to this will be Friday for the Mount Monadnock hike when pick-up time will be 5:30 pm. Transportation will be provided by AIAO to each day’s location.

  • Day 1 – Kayaking at Tully Lake and waterfall exploration
  • Day 2 – Rock Climbing at Wendell State Forest
  • Day 3 – Cave Exploration at Farley
  • Day 4 – Canoeing – Sunderland to Hatfield
  • Day 5 – Mount Monadnock Hike
